On top of one of the rolling hills in Missouri wine country sits Defiance Ridge Vineyards. A historic property, the farmhouse was built in 1889 and housed some of the nearby Howell family. With a fantastic view from the top of the hill, the property grounds are pretty diverse, with vineyards, gardens, and even a secluded lake. What makes this venue an excellent option for your wedding isn't only the beautiful sceneries, delicious local wine, fantastic chef-inspired food, and quality service. Potential clients have the opportunity to tour the 42-acre property and choose from an array of backdrops for their event.

The most popular option is the pavilion for ceremonies, but their covered, temperature-controlled deck makes for a perfect backup if the weather does not permit it. Couples have also chosen the vineyards as their ceremony site or even the tranquil lake located on the property. Usually, the reception and dance floor are set up on the covered deck, but if the weather is nice, sometimes people decide to have the dance floor on the patio. The professional event staff at Defiance Ridge Vineyards is with you every step of the way to help coordinate the wedding of your dreams.

But let's get back to the food! Their menu is incredible, and you won't get this delicious food anywhere else. Each item is chef-curated and made from scratch with the freshest ingredients. Defiance Ridge has many appetizers, cheese boards, or platters that your guests can dine on during cocktail hour. The Dinner Entrees available could satisfy anyone's pallet, including vegetarian options and even kids meals for the little ones. Being a vineyard, don't forget their selection of house wines, which some are made from grapes grown right on the property.

A little peace of mind also comes with an on-site coordinator, Michelle Serles, the Event Manager, is there to help plan your perfect wedding. Assisting in coordinating your event, the timeline, communication with your vendors, she's also here the day of the event to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Aside from weddings and events, Defiance Ridge Vineyards is your first stop into wine country and is a fantastic place to sip on some local wine and enjoy the view. They also host various activities throughout the week and on the weekends when they are not hosting a private event. Dinner and happy hour, trivia nights, and live music fill the calendar at Defiance Ridge Vineyards.
